Frequently Asked Questions
What is a wax melt?
Wax melts are scented pieces of wax. They come in various different forms and are used with a wax burner. They melt slowly and release the fragrance into the room. We use soy wax within all of our products.
Wax melts can be used a tea-light burner or an electric burner.
How do I use a wax melt?
Simply break a portion of wax into the bowl of your wax burner. Light an unscented tea light and place into the bottom of the burner - this will melt the wax and allow the fragrance to be released into the room.
We recommend using a 4-6 hour tea-light. This is because the burner won't get too hot and it will allow your wax burner time to cool down in between uses.
How do you remove wax melts from a burner?
The way I find easiest is:
Light a tea-light and wait a couple of minutes. This will loosen the wax and should allow for you to easily pop it our from the burner. Then just wipe out the little bowl with a piece of tissue.
Why is my wax melt smoking?
If you see a clear, smoky substance coming from the wax, this is simply the fragrance oil releasing the scent and slowly burning off.
How do I look after my candle?
Trim your wick; simply remove the burnt wick in between burns by pinch between your fingers.
Burning times; try not to burn your candle for longer then 4 hours to avoid a larger flame, smoking and an overheated jar.
On the first burn, burn to the full edge of the jar to avoid tunnelling.
Where do I find any information on allergies?
If you have any concerns regarding allergies please ensure you familiarise yourself with the CLP sticker (Classification Labelling and Packaging) which is on the back of all of our products. This includes information about potential allergens and ingredients.
